Photography

Prior to taking the second semester of the Digital Media Specialist course, I have never had much professional experience in the field of photography. The only times that I had frequently taken pictures with a camera were when my family and I would go on camping or road trips. At the start of the semester, I was pleasantly surprised to find out we would be starting off by learning the basics of photography. I was able to learn new principles such as the right way to hold a camera, the Rule of Thirds for proper alignment of your photo subjects, and some of the many different types of photography one can specialize in, as seen in my portfolio above. In addition to learning how to take breathtaking photos, we also learned how to use Adobe Lightroom to clean up the final shot and edit our pictures to look crisp and professional.
